Ukrainian Mother

"Ukrainian Mother" or "Holy Cow" is a project inspired by traditional comic style, one of the characters I was working on at the time and the image of maternity, motherhood and nursing. During this period, I spent a lot of time with my sister, who just had her first newborn. The transformation that a woman's body goes through, the way that nature and love meet each other and create the most beautiful process of labor and breastfeeding.  Created using 3D modeling in ZBrush and Maya, rig built with mGear and ngSkin tools, rendered in Maya using Redshift. Editing and compositing done in Adobe After Effects.
